Metacognitive knowledge is a personal learning characteristic (knowledge of nature learning), metacognitive awareness mean being aware of what you're thinking and metacognitive control mean making a productive decision.
Metacognition could also help us as student when we learn. We could think deeply, flexible in using our own knowledge and also when we solve problem, for example: In Math class we have to think deeply about how are we going to solve the problem so that is one way of using metacognition.
The image you included is both fun and completely appropriate for this entry! While you seem to understand the concept, there is no mention of your initial experience with 'Thinking Aloud'.
